In 1989, I worked as a private duty R.N. for the patients of a prominent Orthopedic Surgeon. One day he suggested to me, “Grace, you are a very good nurse – you should start your own agency.” That was the beginning of Allwest Nursing Services. I have since been President and CEO at Allwest Nursing Services. Being an R.N., I know our patients’ wants and needs. I know how to carefully match each caregiver to the specific needs of each patient. Most of our staff are either nurses or physical therapists studying for their board exams. This ensures a higher standard of care. I frequently remind my office staff, “ If they are not good enough to take care of my parents, they are not good enough to take care of our clients.” Prominent doctors, R.N. consultants, home healthcare nurses, case managers, social workers, and especially friends and relatives of former patients depend on our agency for the high standard of care we are committed to provide.
