Alton Green Apartments (formerly Coventry Village) Denver, CO was my place of residence for two years. My time there was decent. The apartments are generally clean. Maintenance is okay - turnaround time is very inconsistent and the quality of work is also inconsistent. My complaint is regarding their move-in and move-out processes. They made it quite difficult to schedule a final walk through, so they had to complete it themselves, without me. After 3 weeks of having moved out, I receive a bill for over $900. They charged me for carpet replacement of one room (they couldn't identify the stain, and said the were forced to replace it), replacements for the drip pans, replacement of blinds (a few missing blinds that they didn't fix while I lived there) and removal of a Satellite dish (that was there before I moved in). I am currently disputing the charges but they haven't been very helpful. I've also written a letter to the CEO with no avail. I just want to tell everyone to be careful and cautious. Document everything - especially repair requests and damages when you first move in. Be as detailed as possible in your move-in/move-out form and take lots of photos. Even me, who followed my own advice - still got slammed with this $900 bill. Don't let them scam you. There have been reports that they've done this before. Don't be their victim.
