My husband and myself entered into a loan agreement with Americredit Feb of 2006, we battled witht this company from month 1, we recieved phone calls before the first payment was due to make arrangements for this payment, we have had a few times that the payment was a struggle, but Americredit has reported to all credit reporting agencies that we were 21/51 payments 30 days late! This simply put is an absolute lie. If you are 3 days late on the payment even if its the fault of the person logging in your payment they report it 30 days late. If its 20 days late they will report you 60 days late. I would not have been aware of this if I hadnt applied for a loan to buy my husband the lawn mower that he wanted. When made aware that we had this reported on our credit I contacted Americredit and they proceeded to tell me how they report, even as illegal as it is it is the policy. I was able to prove to the loan company that this was not true and did purchase the lawn mower, which has been paid off also, I have since saved enough to pay them off of over 9700.00 and they hae added more to our credit, when all is said and done I cannot purchase a stick of gum thanks to Americredit and the lies that they have reported. The harrassing phone calls day and night, at work and at home 20 times a day even after you have talked to thier reps are absolutely outrageous, the way we have been talked to is completely out of hand, we were threatened and called names. This company needs to be shut down!!!
