To make a long story short...we got a home improvement loan thru Amerifirst when we first bought our home...now we are trying to do a short sale on the house instead of foreclosure...we had a buyer and was to close on May 31, 2011...Amerifirst wont release the lien so that we can sell the house EVEN though we are making monthly payments on the Amerifirst loan...the bank said they were going to give Amerifirst some money also but Amerifirst wont release the lien so that we can sell the home so I guess we have to foreclose and Amerifirst wont get a darn thing...It doesnt make any sense why they wont release the lien when we are paying them.
