Began loan refinance with Amerisave Mortgage / Amerisave.com in March. HUGE mistake! Paid initial fees (application, processing) by CC. That was the easiest part. Problems from the start with erroneous information on loan application documents, failure to lock rate, attempting to charge additional fees, requested call backs were ignored or we were sent a robo email referring us to website...and on, and on. Hit the ceiling when Amerisave basically told us WE would have to get subordination letter from our small second mortgage lender - something we ere paying them to do! So, in April we ended process and took our business elsewhere. Went to a local bank, had an absolutely wonderful experience and got actual face time with lender! THEN...on JULY 4TH - over 2 months after having ended loan process with Amerisave they run an unauthorized charge on our credit card for $500.00! Totally unauthorized and illegal. It is in dispute process with credit card company and calls to Amerisave about this, of course have gone unanswered. AVOID Amerisave - go to a local bank or credit union.
