Do not buy an Americast sink. I installed it in June, 2008 and in a couple of months I started to see lots of scratches and grooves even though I live alone and am very careful not to scratch it. I put down a plastic mate in the sink to protect it from the beginning. I called American Standard and they offer no help except to say to use non-abrasive cleaner. I was only using baking soda to clean it - and they say baking soda is abarasive - I can't believe that. Now I am searching for Pzalgraff cleaner and hoping the appearance of the scratching might be reduced. Even If I could have my money back - the expense of the installation is a lot to lose, too. I hope my sink does start cracking unedrsneath like others are reporting. That's horrible.
