Poor Boundaries- Conflict of Interests
As a mother, I feel it my obligation as a mother, to report in good faith my transactions with Ms. Goldman. As no provider/doctor/health care worker should be allowed to work in a vacuum, enclosed is a narrative of my experience with Ms.Goldman. She showed total disregard to me as a Joint Parent. Although my daughter had autonomy as a patient, Ms. Goldman spoke regularly to the father. She even made statements in court she ‘treats’ and ‘helped’ the father with his ‘boundaries’ issues. I believe that was a conflict of interest. Con-joint therapy or any type of intervention is not possible without all parties and professionals being in accord. Nonetheless, Ms. Goldman made the unilateral decision to not participate in Co-Joint Therapy/Reunification between my daughter and I. Although there was a custody evaluator in place, Ms. Goldman made custody recommendations to the court. Such is also a conflict of interest. Furthermore, such court appearances breaks the “Safe Haven” of the therapeutic process. It is of my opinion Ms. Goldman overstepped her boundaries and position on my case. I believe Ms. Goldman lost her perspective on my case, and her inability to be impartial, carries over on to my child, and hindered the process of reunification. My intent here is not to disseminate confidential information with the intent to harm, but to report in good faith my experience.
