I am a member of AOL's Black Voices. I post under the name of Sekou1130.

I am writing to you to voice my concern regarding a racist cartoon that was recently posted on the board. The cartoon was posted by a woman who identifies herself as blondegreeneyez8. She claims that it is a "political" cartoon; political or not, the posting of the cartoon has offended many members of the board who are of African descent. I took the matter to the moderator of the board (Lucette), who in turn advised me that there was nothing racist about the cartoo. I strongly disagree. The cartoon depicts a Klan member in full Klan attire. In addition, the poster in question has continued to post vile, derogatory remarks about the black women who post on Black Voices, thus creating a hostile environment, and creating an uncomfortable atmosphere for those members of African Descent who post there.
Can you please advise what can be done with regard to this matter? I've posted the link to the thread containing the cartoon for your reference.
