Very unprofessional behavior
My husband and I had booked an Apple Vacation from Mar. 20-29 to the Dominican. 3 days after arriving my husband became ill. We waited until Monday, the 26th to speak with the rep about returning to the USA. He was nearly 40 minutes late in arriving for the briefing. I had asked for assistance at the Riu Merengue desk to contact him but was told I had to wait until he arrived, although I had told them that my husband was ill. Once Gustavo arrived I explained to him that my husband was ill and that we wanted to return to the US. He asked what the symptoms were, had he seen a doctor, and that he should see a doctor as he could give him something to make him better. He was not willing at that time to help us change our airline tickets. We asked again to please assist us in contacting American Airlines to change our flight so that we could return home. He was very angry, slammed the notebook shut on the desk and marched over to the hotel desk. He did contact AA and our flight was changed so we could depart Monday afternoon (Mar. 26) I found this behavior very unprofessional as we had confidence that should something occur he would be there to help. We will never book an Apple Vacation again. Perhaps someone should check into this behavior... if things are not going his way. There were 3 other couples that had recently arrived at the resort who were waiting to speak with him also. They appeared to be upset also and had another tour rep call him to see what his arrival time would be.
