False Advertising
After eating at the Applebees on Southland Mall numerous times. My wife and I noticed an add on TV regarding 2 meals for $20.00. We checked on their website and saw the add posted their too. We choose our meals and placed the call for pick. The person that answered the phone told us they were no longer offering this deal. My wife told them that they should remove it from their website, and since we were hungry we ordered something else that came out to almost $40.00 for 2. We let it slide until again the next day we saw the same add on TV. I don't understand how this can be done. Is their something that can be done to stop these people from scamming the public? We will never eat at Applebees again, and I hope this helps others in choosing a better restaurant.

management
The manager at the Applebees store on 9616 East Independence Blvd. Matthews NC was very rude. I onlygot 3 onion rings on my plate after I paid extra, told the waitress and she agreed to bring the extra that were missing. After an hour the manager came to our table and was very rude and I ended up paying for what I didn't get. Horrible customer service NEVER going back again (after being a loyal costumer).

profanity used by employees
While having lunch at Applebees my wife and i had to listen to an young gentleman using profanity.The words this man used in front of paying customers was very distastefull and embarasing for most that where subject to this.this young man ruined our lunch with his actions.He was yelling at employee .I did not know such language was allowed to be used to repramand an an employee.I feel someone should have a discussion with this young man about his choice of words and how to act in a profesoinal manner. I will never go into that resteraunt again.

Waitress
The hostess opened the door for us and we got seated quickly. It was a warm welcome and everything was fine. We then sat down and as soon as the waitress came up she rolled her eyes huffed and puffed. Then she took the napkins and threw them down and asked as what we wanted to drink. Now this has happened more than once of how she was acting. Pam gave us attitude during the lunch meal. I am a regular customer and never had a problem once. There was no reason for the behavior what so ever. This does reflect on the company as well.

Bad food
What has happened to the food at Applebees? They use to be pretty good for the money but after the food we ate there tonight, we will never go back. If you want a salad at lunch or a burger they are all right. But never go there for a dinner. The baby ribs we had were really awful, they had a bad taste and the fries and slaw was just as bad. And for the price for the amount of food we got was just a rip off. I know now that no matter what we will go somewhere else and never go back to Applebees.
And the service was bad, the young teenager at the door was rude, she was talking to another teenager that worked there, did not even say hello, we stood there for a minute and then told her that we would like a seat. To me they were all like teenagers, they were all dressed in jeans and white shirts. I think they should make them dress a little better then they do and tell them that customers come first before their friends. It's their job to put customers first not to stand around and talk to each other. And when we left there was three teenagers who worked there just hanging around talking at the door and not one of them said hope you come back or anything.
What kind of restaurant is that? It's just a place for those young people to hang out. I really hope that they get better. But either way, we are done with them and will never ever go back!!!

Manager Very Rude
Me and my two daughters visited the Applebees in Mt, Pleasant on Friday and we were seated promtly and the Manager came over and took out order. My oldest daughter which is 21 and I ordered a mixed drink and my youngest who is 20 ordered a glass of water. He asked to see our ID and we showed him and he looked at the ID 's and had the nerve to accuse my daughters of swithching their ID's in order to get alchohol. He all but called me and my daughter a liar. We finally had to get up and leave the rest. and go to another one because he refused to serve us.

Awful place
While visiting the applebees in morgantown I found the service to be very kind and bubbly. However, I overheard cursing and yelling from the kitchen about how worthless and terrible people were only to find that it was the GM Betty Turner. She does not seem to care about her staff.
I have friends that work there and they too say that she treats them terribly and even cheats on food so that times look good to corporate. When we asked why the food was taking so long she gave us dirty looks and told us that the kitchen was being worthless and had crashed. She is the sole reason that I will never return to that applebees. I can't believe that corporate has found her capable of this job. From my experience she was not. Making employees cry on a daily basis is not the way to run a restaurant.

Reptile in Foos
Recently a local diner discovered a whole small lizard in her salad. We do not know if this was the fault of applebees or a server at the establishment. I have also eaten there once and was very sick that evening and the next day from some chicken I ate. I reccomend that nobody eats at this restaurant. DISGUSTING!!!

Poor service
I came in to place a "TO GO" order, was asked to go to the BAR to place order. Waited 15 minutes to get order placed. Told them I would be right back to pick up the order. Upon returning was greeted at the door by the waitress that seen me come in and she said, oh you are the one waiting on your order. Then another waitress came by and said if she could help and I told her I was waiting on a to go order. Then a waiter came by and asked if I needed some help, and told the same. Then another waitress came by and the same scenario.
I waited for an hour and a half from placing the order, until finally the waitress at the bar, as she seemed to be more occupied with getting alcohol to the people at the bar and getting tips then anything else. Then she finally came all the way to the front and asked if I needed my order, well " der".
I will tell you that I know how hard it is to get good people, but this was ridiculous, all these workers asking and no one helping. Wow what a disappointment. Applebees" - you just lost this customer and all the folks that ask me about your company will be told - Well you know what I will tell them!
