Hard fruit
On Saturday 4th December 2010 I bought 2 packs of assorted, prepacked fruit containg melon, grapes, kiwi fruit, mango etc. On Monay 6th December I had some of the fruit with my breakfast cereal. The melon was so hard that when I bit into it, I snapped the crown off my tooth and subsequently swallowed my tooth.

While I understand your need not to waste foods and therefore the company will cut the melon as close to the skin as possible, to maximise profit, I do not feel this provides food that is fit for consumption. I now need to have the tooth replaced at a cost of at least £200.

I would appreciate your comments on this as soon as possible.

abuse from colleagues
would like to complain about the way i was treated at the store, i have work at this store for nearly 10years, for the last 5years ive been a supervisor in the cafe with the company eurest, i was wanting to buy a camera, which was nearly £150, i was not on shift so i was a normal customer, i went t0 the department and ask, d if i could buy the camera i wanted, (which was on display)firstly i was told be a member of staff, i dont no anythng about cameras, i then ask, d have you got one in, the colleague went to have a look, i was then told that they didnt have the one i wanted, i then ask when there were getting any more in, was told they didnt know, i then said you need to put a slip in to say out of stock, so that the next customer that wanted oneknew that it was out of stock, i was then told, dont say that, i was then left there with no clue if there were getting anymore and when, i ask this the collegue was rude and unhelpful, there was no manager or key colleague to help.just because i work at the store there was no need to be so unhelpful and rude, i have been a loyal colleague and customer in the last 10years to be treated like that, like i said the camera i wanted was £150, so it wasnt a cheap one, i could not begin tell you how much money i have spent in that store, if there treating me like that, what are the speaking to a normal customer like, the abuse the collegues on that department is unexceptable, i will now go else were for the camera, thank you for taking the time out to read this, i just hope you dont lose more customers this way.

ASDA special offer swindle
I went shopping at the ASDA store and was 2 special offers, 3 tubes of toothpaste for £3 and 12 Mullerlight Yoghurts for £3 which to my knowledge is a total of £6. However when I got home I checked my bill and ASDA has charges me the following

2 * Tubes of Toothpaste @ £2 each totalling £4
13 * Mullerlight Youghurts which is (12 for £3) and an invisible one for 61 pence Totalling £3.61

So instead of the £6 it should of cost me they actually charged me £7.61

This isn't the first time ASDA has overcharged me for so called special offers. Whenever you go back and complain they always says its the checkout persons fault etc, which is a load of rubbish. Its very strange they only make mistaked on special offers and out of all the other items I bought with the 2 special offers I mentioned above its amazing they only made a mistake with the special offers and none of the other normally priced products. As if anyone is going to buy 2 tubes of toothpaste for £4 when they can get 3 tubes for £3.

Order not delivered -15 days, no refund sent
I had ordered school uniforms from ASDA Direct. Not delivered, no refund for more than 15 days

Order no:02150074
Order date:10/09/2010 16:10

Its been more than 15 days, the uniforms have not been delivered.
On calling the asda direct help line they say that the address is incorrect so it was not delivered.
On asking them for a refund they simply hung up.
This response also I got from them after calling them atleast 5-7 times.
This is sheer cheating and not expected from an organisation like ASDA.
I am completely lost, since it is school uniform and my child has to suffer due to such irresponsible behaviour from ASDA direct.
Kindly guide.

staff
whilst visiting asda i asked at the deli counter, where they had the chickens cooking on a spit if they used msg on there chickens well i just as well asked if the moon was made of cream cheese because no one knew what msg was let alone whether they use it or not, dont you think that any one cooking the product should know what they are putting on it seems to me if you asked if they cook it in bleach they wouldnt know for anyone who cant eat certain flavour enhancers it could be dangerouse please train the staff as they should be trained, i am a chef and would never let anyone sell a food product without knowing what it contains

wrongly treated
hi there, my name is emma and i have worked at the asda store in woodham for just over 2 years now . i would like to make a complaint on the way i have been treated as an employe.
i have had a marriage break down and now live on my own with 2 children aged 3 and 7 i have had alot of problems with child care which my boss of my dept was aware of, after struggling to find childcare and working early mornings it became impossible for me to keep my possition as a home shopper, so had to hand in notice to leave . after meeting with the GM and my dept manager they offered me to stay and change my shifts to suit them and myself, i then took two weeks unpaid to sort out proper childcare (which is allready sorted )and to change benifits etc as i was droping hours ... i was told by the GM and my boss to start my new shift this tues 9-2 . i have just recived a telephone call from the peoples manager there to say that she has withdrawn the offer and now cant find any other job in the whole store all i want is a tue and thur 9-2 WHAT I WAS OFFERED BY THE GM. i dont see how they can offer me new hours and then just take them away from me ...please could you help me i dont care what i do but i do need to be working .i tried to call the GM today and was thobbed off no one seems to want to help me ...what do i do

Overcharged wrongly and got a ban from Asda for it
Went to Asda in Dagenham, Essex. The Cashier charged me wrongly because I bought two items that weer similar, but they have different prices because they have slight variation.
The cashier just picked the first one which commands the higher price and multiply it by 2 thus overcharging me.
When I went to complain at the customer service, the person there said she would refer it to their manager and when the manager arrived as I started to talk to him, he told me to shut up and that he would only listen to his staff. I was surprised and ask why he would say that, he then started being aggressive and said he would not deal with the case if I say any word at all. Of course I continue to tell him my side of the story and then he walked off and asked the security to walk me off the store and said I was banned. I still could not believe it, especially when the mistake was theirs.

I then wrote to their head office to complaint, only to be told that whatever the branch manager decides is what they will stick to, so banning me from the store remains effective.

The fact is I have seen the same manager in the same store mistreated 2 other people in the past on two different occasions. I think Asda needs a COMPETITION in that area so that they can get their acts together and respect customer a bit more.

False name give, when threatened to make complaint
Update on my previous complaint about asda in canford heath, Poole, Dorset.
I have just been offered a refund by head office, but this the manager who I spoke to at this store gave me a false name, when I spoke to him on the phone.
I have been emailed by Trading Standards confirming that this alleged manager broke the law, by refusing me a refund, for poorly processed digital photographs.
The Canford Heath ASDA store is a joke, avoid it like the plague, there are better supermarkets to go to, otherwise support your local small trader.
