This so called collection agency sent me a letter in mail stating I owed them $944.00 but they would settle for less with a check today. I declined to give them my SSN & place of business which they demanded. They then claimed they will go after equity in my house and do a wage attachment. I asked what the so called account was in ref too. they said Preimire Credit Card. Thing is that company is a pre-paid card service online (i googled it). They also stated it was from 1999. I advised them how could I have an outstanding credit card not on my credit report when I was not even 18 yet in 1999. I told him I'm filing compalints with the BBB and the FTC. Person hung up.
