Atlantic Auto Mall rips people off especially seniors. I bought a new car there and they sold me gap insurance which comes free in New York State with the auto loan. The Atlantic finance dept told me that it would cost me $9.00 per mo for the life of the loan or 60 months (540.00). Turns out the actual cost is 1026.00 per Leslie in the finance dept who told me that when I checked to see why their document said the ins. cost me 945.00. The people in their finance dept knew that, but didn't tell me or inform me that it came free with the loan. They also inflated my loan by $700.00 and can not give me an explanation. We are working to get money back. The problem is that no one at Atlantic ever returns phone calls and once they know you are on their case they don't answer your calls anymore. We notified the NYS attorney general's office.
