Bad Service/ Ripping off prepaid customers
Using the prepaid unlimited plan, the phone bugs you all day about not having an account balance, when in fact you don't need one because all texts and Voice are unlimited until the end of a period. Several calls to ATT yields nothing. Lots of dropped calls, flaky service at home, ridiculous data rate for non contract phones (the contract price is still a rip off)
Also call quality drops a lot during a call even with full bars on both ends. Sometimes it sounds like I am speaking with a robot. Putting a password to block internet services from prepaid phone in case you accidentally hit the web button in your pocket, doesn't work, and the practice of having a permanent button dedicated to bringing you on the web and charging you several cents each time is criminal.
Can't wait to jump to another carrier really soon.

They were dishonest and rude
A week before christmas my daughter, her boyfriend and myself went in because i had seen the add about the cookie being 9.99. It was time to renew our contract and so I started to talk to one girl, because most every other person in our st. Joseph michigan office are really rude and not helpful. So I asked her if I could get the 9.99 cookie if I re did my contract and she said yes, so my daughter who is on my plan wanted the pink one. She said she could get it and they didnt have one and wouldnt contact the Benton Harbor store who had six. So she said dont worry we will get one in and call you when its in. I also added my grandson to my plan and bought a 19.99 phone for him. As soon as I signed the contract they started re-nigging on there deal to give me the cookie. Another sales rep interupted my conversation at that point with the sales person I was working with and interjected that I couldnt get the phone for that... why after I signed the contract did this whole situation change. We never got the phone and the people were very rude!! I would think that any supervisor etc would want to know that there whole staff is really dishonest and rude. They have been less than honest and very rude and now I have a contract that I hope can be changed when ATT takes over or will be have more of the same here.

Gifr card
DSL was ordered on 9/25/2009 up to now have not received gift card thru the mail Rocko quote it would come 4-6 weeks it has now been 3 months my category of complaint is not receiving gift card.

Advertising Dept.
My family recently switched our entire cell phone service because of the advertising department at ATT. We are disgusted at the constant "feminine male" that frequents just about every single ATT commercial these days. The object of advertising is to relate to your audience. If that was true, every man in America would wear black framed glasses and be 5'7 and 132 lbs. That is NOT the case. What ATT has done is make American men look like women and offer nothing beside sitting in a cubicle all day accomplishing nothing. I have taken this as a strong insult and I wanted to bring it to your attention.

3G Service
I have not been able to use the 3G network connection of my phone because more than 50% of calls can't be made and a higher number of calls received are dropped. As per a AT&T rep I was told do disable the 3G function so I can make calls.
Now AT&T is inundating the NYC TV stations with commercials blasting Verizon on how AT&T has better 3G coverage and speed. PLEASE how ironic, they should spend that money in making the NYC network better prepared to handle the current load.
Basically I am paying for EDGE service as opposed to 3G... Here I come Verizon...

wireless texts
we just bought att service unlimited talk and text for 60 a month it took 2 hours to port the number and fix the account the whole ordeal was not good at all. after that we tested the service with a few texts. we can send them fine and get only texts from att cell phones only. boost/nextel we get half the texts.. verizon no texts ... cricket no texts... sprint no texts .. tmobile no texts
att then told us to call all the companies the texts are not working from we are like how can it be all these providers >
talked to 4 sups and they all had diffrent stories
demanded money back after a full day of no service will not refund we figure no service rendered why charge us.
we are going to port the number back to boost today.
we are writing a complant to the coorprate office and also filled out a complant to the bbb with the coorprate office

OAN- e secure svcs fee
I've had problems with ATT several years ago, when I inadvertently paid a bill twice and could never get a refund for it.
Now the infamous OAN charges for unsolicited "services" on the land line bill? OAN are impossible to get in touch with and ATT is uncooperative.
I've been paying these charges unwittingly for months, having set up a direct payment with my credit card, but enough is enough! These greedy thugs have stolen millions from the good people of America, during the second worse recession of the century, mind you. Would this be a good grounds for a class action?

Billing
I am so sick and tired of dealing with ATT. Tried their combined billing and in a matter of 2 months, accrued 1300.00 in charges, and service was disconnected, my payments had been going elsewhere, once this was resolved and I was allowed to have service again on residential and cellular, seperated my bills, and began making my payments separately, when I thought all was good and calmed my anger from dealing with this morons here arises a scam..I rec'd a FREE Air Card in the mail that DID not work, finally after 4 month feud was resolved, and now 6 months after the combined biling fiasco, I get a letter from an attorney stating I owed 376.58, to which NOONE could explain to me what this account was affiliated with. I called the attorney who sent me to ATT who transferred me 12 times in a matter of 80 minutes, finally a woman was able to PULL up an account all others could not find, and she verified YES, I do owe this money, and I asked her how and she hem hawed around and finally said was an old cellular bill I had floating around from when I had combined billing, to which she did not know the cellular number, and I have had the same cellular number for 6 years. I am so confused and untrusting of ATT, I have had over 27 complaints with their billing since 2007. This is unbelievable and I am apalled people are continuing to use their incompetent support staff/service offered.

Account not mine
I checked my credit report and found I had several accounts in collection none of which were mine. The accounts where not even in my name but appeared on my report. I got a police report and submittede it to Att that I was not that individual. The item was removed after hours on the phone with att. The SS# for the individual was not even the same as mine, similar but different. when I would call the collection company they had my SS# But att had a different one. Att basicaly told me that it was not there responsibility so to deal with the collection company. Since the first time this has happened they have sold it 4 more time to different agencies and they place it on my report. Each time I have it removed and than they sell it again. Att has told me there is nothing they can do and It has caused me stress and hours on the phone. What can I do? I have spoken with managers but it keeps happening.
