My laptop that we bought 3 years ago has been horrible since about two years ago. I've had to wipe out the hard drive at least 5 times to fix whatever is wrong with it temporarily and it hasn't kept a charge without the power cord in ages. I thought my warranty had run out years earlier, but I received a letter from Sam's Club asking if I wanted to renew, because it expires December 11th. So I called so that I could take the laptop in and see if they could fix and/or replace it. The woman at Member Services said, "when did you buy it?" So I told her and she said "Oh yeah, we're not taking that back." I said "well isn't that the point of the extended service warranty?" She said, do you have the paperwork? I said yes, she said "well, call the number on it. They can help you, we can't." It is a Sam's Club extended warranty, not the manufacturer's warranty!
