I will never again enter a Dick's Sporting Goods store. I went to Dick's looking for a very specific bicycle for myself that was advertised in the Saturday newspaper Ads. I went in on Sunday afternoon to find one visible bicycle dept employee, socializing with some folks. I waited for him to get to me (there were 2 other families also obviously in need of assistance) as well. Then a 2nd employee appears, and takes the family with a cute, young, co-ed looking for a bike, but with no knowledge of what they wanted or needed. He proceeded to chat her up, talking very little about bikes, and mostly trying to pick her up. He spent over 30 minutes gabbing with them, and I walked out after spending an hour trying to get some help (get the desired bike down from the very top rack so I could try and buy it). There appeared to be little motivation to sell anything there. I'll take my business to a more expensive bike shop who respond to me the minute I walk in, help me without question. The additional cost is money well spent to know that I'll not only be taken care of before the sale, during the sale, and after the sale. See ya never Dicks!
