After accepting the quote & giving deposit, work started to re-fibreglass the pool. After repeatedly questioning poor workmanship, I was told that issues would be resolved. 20 mins after this chat, Perry Meyerson (BluePoolsAquatech SA) & his workers left our property. In taking this up by telephone & by mail with Perry, I was told that the issues experienced were due to the original contours of the pool & that it would cost a further R8000 (water leak) & R12000 (Mosaics) to resolve the issues. This was never brought to my attention initially. I’m confident that the correct process was not followed in preparing the pool prior to applying a new layer of fibreglass. I can state this, as the original pool contour did not have these issues & this is supported by the 4 quotes which were received - none of them highlighted any issues with the contour of the pool’s surface. A reputable pool co came in to re-quote on fixing the pool after the state that it was left in. The “new” pool company was disgusted in the workmanship & process followed by BluePools. It was pointed out that BluePools had cut corners & that their process was questionable. Photos have been taken to support this case.
