I purchased an Underdrive pulley kit with the 'BBK' logo. It was Aluminum and for a 4.6 2V Ford Motor. 2005 w/Electric fans. The car was a Crown Vic. I installed the underdrive pulley kit and all was well. Until April 2010. I was doing routine maint and noticed the Water Pump Pulley had a rut dug out from the belt. I replaced the serpintine belt and did routine maint. About a month later, I noticed the belt was meeting at the tensioner and rubbing together. I shut the car down and am putting the original factory parts back on. I sent Emails to Brothers and got no response. They wouldnt even publish my comments on their comments section for parts sold/rated. The total mileage on the aluminum underdrive pulley kit was est. 10200 miles. This car sat under a carport and was rarely driven. No reason for the water pump pulley to fail unless there was a defect. Aluminum was all over the serpintine belt when I took it off. Poor quality.
