California Bean Bags sponsored a Cornhole Tournament for September 12th, 2009. I mailed a check to them for $40 to register 2 players for the tournament. The tournament was a total bust. They advertised up to $750 prize money and room for up to 64 teams. There were only 3 or 4 teams that showed up. Joe Brandt, the owner and tournament organizer, showed up 90 minutes late and we waited around another 90 minutes expecting something to happen. Nothing did, and so I asked for a refund. He said he would mail me a refund check or credit my PayPal account for the $40 when he got back to Lancaster where his business is located. I have yet to receive the refund or any response to my calls, emails and letters. They have ignored my requests for a refund and have acted very unprofessional. It is not a lot of money, but they have shown no integrity by taking the money and not refunding it when the tournament was clearly a poorly organized event. This company is a lying, deceitful company with a dishonest owner, and I would not recommend having any dealings with them whatsoever.
