Visitors who are visiting condominium residents are apparently charged RM5 (five Ringgit Malaysia) for parking their vehicles at the Cascadium Condominium, Jalan Penaga Bangsar. Security guards at the condominium demanded this charges and refused to return back the driving license of a visitor visiting the condominium resident and demanded RM 5 for a parking charge on the way out. Apparently this is allowed by the management. Is it still right in Malaysia for the security guard to hold on to the identification card or driving license of the visitor? Is it legal according to law to charge visitors visiting the resident at the condominium to charge the visitors for parking? It's not the question of how much the charges are but it's a question of principle of whether the Malaysian Government allowed such a conduct in a residential location.
