On September 17 I received a call from 772-647-3804. This number is out of Indiantown, Florida. The man stated that I co-signed on a loan for my son and since my name was on it I was being prosecuted for it. I asked him for a date that the loan was taken out and he gave me a date during the time my son was serving as an MP for the Army in Iraq. He stated that the loan was over 400.00 and I had to pay it back immediately. On October 19 I received another call from the same person only a different number, claiming to be "Officer Jim" working at the State Department Federal Credit Union. The number this time was 607-595-1742. He again said that I co-signed for my son a loan and it was never paid back. I asked him the date the loan was taken out and he told me that all of the information was turned over to the prosecuters and I would have to appear in court the next morning in New York or I could give him a credit card number and we could clear this up. I asked him the amount and this time it had jumped to 712.63. I have never co-signed for my son a "Cash advance loan" and he has never applied for a cash advance loan. This is a scam so everyone beware!!!
