A seasoned Canon user I went online searching for a good price for a Canon E6. CCI Camera City offered one for $2199. Altho they added a surprisingly high Federal Express mail charge of $89 I still went ahead with the purchase. Moments later I got a call from "Larry" saying the professional camera I'd ordered was coming from CHINA in 2-3 months and had a PLASTIC BODY. He then proceeded to upsell me a Magnesium body for about $900 more. I said OK...then re-thought the order. I did not receive a second confirming order online, just a cancellation of the original $1597 order. However, CCI Camera whizzed a charge for $3123 through my Visa in record time. Quick calls to Canon - don't make a plastic body. Visa revealed as afar as Fraud & Dispute Resolution were concerned the matter was "out of their hands" and I'd have to deal with CCI. Like others I spoke with the nastiest fellow with a New York Jewish accent who snarled at me that they didn't have to send me an email - it was no longer an oline order - and told me to call Customer Service which was, of course, not an 800 number. Cust Serv verified the original "plastic body order " would have been "grey market". However, he agreed to cancel the bait & Switch order and refund my money. Still waiting on that.
