I engaged Central Cargo Packers for shifting my household goods from Delhi to Hyderabad on 23/05/2007. My belongings also included my new Fiat Palio car which I had bought in October 2006 and I got the car serviced on 22/05/2007, before giving to them for transportation to Hyderabad. They promised to deliver the car in 8 days, but they brought the car to me on 02/06/2007 and it was in a pathetic condition with its engine heavily vibrating and creating noise. I refused to accept the vehicle in that condition and asked them to get it repaired and return to me in the condition I gave it to them. They then delivered it to me on 09/06/2007, without getting it repaired and asked me to get it repaired under warranty. I took the car to a dealer and they refused service under warranty as it was due to negligience and mishandling on the part of cargo operator. I now have been given an estimate for repairing the engine of Rs. 90, 000 (ninety thousand) as the engine is totally damaged and needs to be overhauled. I contacted Central cargo which refused to get the car repaired or bear the costs for repair.
