I was supposed to fly round trip with Central Wings, a discount subsidiary of LOT, the Polish national airline, from Edinburgh, Scotland to Warsaw, Poland. At check-in in Edinburgh, on Wed Sept 12, I was told that the flight was canceled due to technical reasons. The person at check in desk could not answer questions, directed me to another desk at the terminal. That person gave me a slip of paper with a phone number in Poland that I was to call for help. Some help!! I was told there was no available seat on that route until Monday, Sept 17. Well, I eventually made my way to Poland on another airline, but when I presented myself for the return flight to Edinburgh, the Central Wings flight was delayed a full 2 hours before take-off, again due to technical reasons, so that I nearly missed my connection home to US. What a miserable excuse for an airline.
