When the representative called me last November to pitch the Chase mileage plus credit card, he told me I was going to get two miles for every dollar I spent and that the card was going to be free for the first year. It turned out that I was only going to get two miles for every dollar I spent on United, and one mile for every dollar I spent on other purchases. I plan on cancelling the card as soon as the year is up.
