I have an 04 Z-71 Silverado Ext. Cab pickup. I have not liked the brakes on this unit from the first time I pulled my small 6X12 trailor. It takes for ever to stop. I have had it to ELCO and talked with them several times and they are telling me, a 30 year mechanic, that the brakes are normal. This my friend is BS. I was out with it again this weekend, with my trailor and an 800 cc motorcycle. I came up on a stop sign and almost went through it.
At my work, we had a truck, Ford F350, with the same problems. We changed out the power head, guess what, problem solved. I tried to explain this to the service mangager at ELCO, and it went on unheard. My truck only had 44, XXX miles on it. A friend has an 04 GMC and it stops on a dime. So what is up with this POS???
