I went to exchange a dvd from Christmas that my husband already had. It was unopened with the price and company name (cinema 1) sticker and barcode, etc. still on the front of the dvd. My husband threw away the receipt by accident. I didn't think it would be a problem to exchange (I wasn't planning on asking for a refund!) since the info. was still on the movie. Other retailers will do that no problem, as long as the info. is still on the product and it isn't opened (like mine was). WRONG! They not only accused me of possibly "five-fingering" the dvd, they wouldn't exchange it either. According to them - they ALWAYS take the stickers off the dvds (hence the accusation of stealing). They have a nice loud security system there, that would have gone off loudly when I purchased the dvd if that had been the case - which it did not.
When in correspondence with the company, they blamed me for losing the receipt and said they'd rectified the situation because the employee that failed to remove the sticker was no longer with the company!!! Can you believe it? This is the worst example of customer service I've ever had in my life.
