Dealer advertised "restored Austin Healey BJ7 with strong, fresh meechanicals". I paid $60, 000 based on description. I received an unrestored BJ7 with BJ8 dash, hole in muffler, no seat belts and mechanically a disaster. Hub splines worn enough to be unsafe. Needs shocks, bearings, king pins, gas gauge. Car has massive oil leak, low oil pressure, non-operational overdrive. Certified Austin Healey appraiser values car at $35, 000; less if oil issues are addressed. Dealer refuses to negotiate. Not their fault??!!
