Purchased a 32" LCD Coby TV for my son on 9/19/09. It was his birthday present, he was turning 11. Last week unexpectedly the manual input controls stopped working, then the channel display stopped working. If you entered a "high" number channel it would make a "pop" sound and turn off. In a matter of days all of this happened, we now just have a dark screen. Contacted Coby, they only issue 90 days warranty, which too late says too much to me and alot about their products. The TV is only 8 months old. I paid 329.00 for it, the retailer wants 249.00 just to look at it and I still have a few months left under the parts warranty. I used to be happy with other Coby appliances that I had at home, such as a dvd player and and mp3. I never expected such poor quality from them. My experience with this had been bad and I want to let others know so that they think it thru very carefully before spending their hard earned money on a Coby LCD TV. If they only back up the tvs for 90 days, it must be a very poor performing item. I only wish I would have known sooner!!!
