I purchased a Body Benefits® Compact Heated Massager by Conair, and one evening, when laying in bed, I had the massager under my behind, as the muscle was extremely tight. After about 5 minutes I turned it off and went to sleep. Several hours later when I woke up, I reached down to move it and it was like putting my hand on a stove burner that was left on high. I am an incomplete quad and have no feeling in that area. I was left with a 2nd degree burn. It has been about three months and it still hasn't healed. For some reason, I can feel the pain from the burn.

I have written to Conair suggesting that they take this model off their shelves and do a recall also, since the heating mechanism turns on by itself, even if the device is turned off.

If you are considering buying this device, DON'T!
