Sent in for subscription to Cooking Light Magazine about 2 years ago and paid them with hardcopy check. Now just noticed an unauthorized charge in my online checking account for this magazine. Don't know how they got my checking account number to submit an electronic charge, except possibly off the original check. This is not right. Businesses should not have the right to just dip into anyone's checking account without authorization.

I ordered a subscription after receiving a trial issue. I also ordered a gift subscription for my father. I sent in two separate money orders, one for $12.00 and the other $18.00. When I didn't receive anything after almost 2 months I contacted them. Cooking Light told me I had to have solid proof sent to them. I called the moneygram and they confirmed over the phone that Cooking Light cashed my money orders on or around March 17, 2007, but told me I had to pay $12.00 for each copy as proof to send to cooking light. I didn't see the point in paying another $24.00 which is why I am just now making a complaint. My employer advised me to re-contact them at this time and I thought it was a good idea. I'm also filing a complaint so that this doesn't happen again.
