I ordered a 48-inch table with high back chairs cover for a 44-inch with high back chairs on July 9, 2008 for a condo we own in St. Louis, MO which we only visit a few times a year. On my recent visit (8/18) I tried the cover and it did not fit. Upon return to Houston, I phoned customer service and spoke to a person working the phones and her supervisor. They both advised me that since the 30 days has elapsed (no where on my order form that I printed out off the internet does it tell you about the 30 days), the only thing they could do is return it for the exact same item, not even a larger size. Since their adverstising is obviously incorrect (the supervisor tried to tell me it is because my chairs probably cannot be pushed in enough, could I check that for her, which I couldn't check as I'm now in Houston). I expected that I should at least be able to return it for a gift card or credit. Now I am stuck with a $100 cover that I cannot use. I plan to write a letter to the corporate office, but I will never order from Brookstone again and will advise all of my friends not to as well.
