As part of our corporate team building exercise we had booked an 85ft yacht (Name: SG) for 21st April 2016 from Dubai marina yacht club through an agent M/s COZMO yachts LLC. Our booking was made for boarding (at 11am) from Dubai marina yacht club and drop at Ras Al khaimah royal yacht club. Further we were getting transported to Hilton al Hamra beach & golf resort for the overnight stay for our continuation of corporate event. We departed at 12.40 Pm with the blame put on Dubai coast guard for late departure, on arrival at Ras Al khaimah, our original Emirates IDs were collected for verification. After the verification of the paperwork by the RAK coast guard we were informed by the Captain of the Yacht that we have to return back to Dubai and cannot disembark the vessel. The reason given to us was the manifest stated 22 personnel excluding the crew by the yacht company however only 20 had arrived; also the Captain confirmed to the coast guard that there are 22 personnel excluding the crew which was a completely false statement. Our contract with COZMO was for exactly 20 pesonnel. Due to the unprofessional execution of whole trip of COZMO, we had to cancel our whole corporate event as it was mid night 21st April by the time we returned back to Dubai. We have incurred huge losses due to COZMO, from losing 100% of payment made for rooms booked at Hilton al Hamra beach & golf resort without checking in, cancelled the whole corporate event which was supposed to be held at Hilton al Hamra beach & golf resort, struggled to return back Dubai without food (as the yacht didn’t have any food on board) till mid night. The General Manager of COZMO still blames the coast guards at Dubai& RAK for not clearing the yacht, not taking any responsibility of the whole disaster. To our dismay there was nothing went as per the plan confirmed by COZMO YACHTS starting from 100min departure delay (Despite our whole team arrived before 11am), no chef despite their confirmation, menu is not as per their agreement. We are shocked to see such unprofessional execution and irresponsible response from senior people of a yacht company. This will seriously damage the reputation of a dynamic city Dubai. This may not only impact the tourists but also everyone who wish to use these yachts.
