I purchased a lawnmower at K-Mart last August. After one use it broke and would not stay running. We were told to take it to Sears in Vineland for repairs. (We purchased the warranty agreement.) Our mower was returned after repairs were made; we were told it was a faulty carbureator. Again we used the mower one time and it did the same thing. We took it back to Sears and left it for repair. We were called by telephone appproximately 10 days later asking for permission to replace the blade. I approved the replacement. A week later we went to pick up the mower and was told it could not be located. After several more trips to the store ( sometime waiting over an hour for a store employee to help us) no one could locate the missing mower. On our last trip they said they had no paperwork on the mower (I have mine) and apparently it was thrown in the trash. They said it is they're policy to hold items only 30 days before disposing of them.. They also said they called and sent me a letter, they did not! We were told we were "more or less beat" by the sales associate. We located a manager who told us he would investigate and call us back. He did not. Today I called the store to get the districts managers number and was told by the person on the phone that she did not have it. I was told to do this by customer resolutions. This is my final attempt before I contact local news media.
