Customer Loyalty
I live in Fox Point, WI, a small suburban community, just north of Milwaukee, WI. I use the CVS pharmacy and drug store exclusively for all prescriptions and miscellaneous drug store purchases -ie, cat food, milk, paper towels, TP, etc. As a family, we spend literally thousands of dollars per year, including prescriptions at our local
CVS. We look at our CVS as our "Store". We have great relationships with the employees, and until today, we have been pleased with the service and the attitude of the employees and management. HOWEVER... over the weekend, we lost a beloved cat, and in an attempt to find her, among other things, we printed up fliers with pictures and info on our missing baby and went around to the neighborhood stores to post the info. I went to 10 local businesses, including WALGREENS AND CVS, and was only denied posting the flier at CVS!!! I am SOOOOO MAD!!! Are you kidding me??!! I spend big bucks at a local business, literally, and they won't let me post a flier??!! What does it say about a company that ingratiates itself as "your friendly local drug store", overcharges you, and then won't let you put up a flier asking for help in finding a beloved pet - this is a small community with many people concentrated in a relatively limited area - "local business and local good will" is literally their life-blood - even Walgreens let me put up a flier - ! I was told that it was "company policy" to disallow such postings - well guess what- it will be MY POLICY to immediately remove all business from my "local" CVS! What BS! Bye-bye CVS, I'm going to Walgreens!

Customer Service
On 6/26/10- I went to store # 5590. I chose three beach chairs to purchase. Two of the chairs were in a stack of 5 total with a price of $17.99. When I proceeded to check out the cashier told me that two of the chairs were $27.99 each. I informed cashier of the sign of $17.99. She stated she would have someone check. At that moment a man walked up who indicated he was the manager went and checked, he returned stating that the chairs were in fact $27.99 each. I informed him that they were all placed under the sign that stated they were $17.99, he became arguementative with me. I told him that his approach was not professional and I have been a customer with CVS for a very long time and he should be aware that his store is new to the communtiy and certainly does not want to lose customers over his poor communication skills. I can certainly accept if there was an error in placement of these chairs, but cannot accept or tolerate such rude behavior from the manager of the store whom represents the pharmacy and should be a role model to his employees.

Pharm Tech abuse
Pharm Techs are forced to miss lunch and breaks which will lead to mistakes in Rx.

CITY NOISE ORIDNANCE VIOLATION
The CVS store on 119 Lincoln avenue in Venice moved to that location in October 2008, after a Wholefoods market took over it's old location .
L.A. City has a noise ordinance that prohibits deliveries between 10PM & 7AM, which still allows 15h of deliveries & noise making for the store, and only 9h of peace for the neighborhood. But, as all big gready corporations, CVS decided that it was not enough time for them, and started making night deliveries at 3AM 3 times per week.
Very nice when you live accross the street from them. Did I mention ? the store is within 200feets of houses.
I went to talk to the manager to explain that it was a lot of noise and to ask him to stop, and his answer was that "if he has deliveries during the legal hours it will block his parking, so it is no".
Our lead officer than went to talk to him, and the deliveries stopped at night until a few months ago, when the manager decided that it was enough again and now the truck is coming after 10PM and the truck driver is so smart, that he even honks happily at 11h30 or so, when he is leaving the parking...
I'm curious to know if other neighbours of CVS stores are submitted to the same harrassement...
Here is a perfect example of another big corporation who thinks they can brake the laws because they have money. Aren't tired of that ?

item not dispensed
MY CHILDREN WERE PRESCRIBED EACH BY THEIR PCP, TO HAVE INHALERS PLUS A SPACER. WHEN I OPENED PACKAGING AT HOME, RECEIVED THE INHALERS: BUT NO SPACERS/AEROCHAMBERS.
CALLED PHARMACY. WAS DISPENSED BY "PETER", BUT SPOKE TO SOMEONE ELSE. I WAS TOLD THAT AEROCHAMBERS WERE DISPENSED, BUT I AM TELLING THEM THAT I NEVER RECEIVED THEM. THEY IN TURN TOLD ME THAT THEY CANNOT DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT, AND THAT I CAN BUY ONE FOR 70.00$. MY INSURANCE COMPANY WAS BILLED FOR IT, I NEVER GOT IT, CVS GOT THE MONEY FOR IT, AND NOW MY KIDS ARE WITHOUT IT FOR ANOTHER 5 MONTHS AS MY INSURANCE WILL NOT PAY FOR ANOTHER SET TILL 6 MONTHS HAVE PASSED. HAD TO BUY THEM MYSELF. WHAT CROOKS! CARELESS ME THOUGH, NEXT TIME I WILL OPEN THEIR STAPLED BAG IN FRONT OF THEM, INSPECT IT IN FRONT OF THEM, AND NOT EVER BELIEVE THEM WHEN THEY TELL ME I AM "ALL SET".

unable to get the job back after disability leave
i am a pharmacist. I was on disability leave for less then 6 months with subdural hemotoma. According to the union of my store, i should be able to get my job back to the same store if i was off less than 6 months ...but no, the supervisor asked me to float to many stores now and refuses to give me my previous permanent store...I am sad and disappointed.

Poor Customer Service
The pharmacy staff at the CVS in Pinellas Park, Florida treated me so rudely this afternoon, May 16th, 2010. My wife and daughter asked to use the bathroom bef0re doing our shopping there, and when I also stepped into the corridor to use the water fountain, "Jessica" yelled out across the counter, "SIR, SIR, YOU'LL HAVE TO STEP OUT OF THERE AND WAIT TILL THEY ARE DONE." I explained I was just getting some water, that's all, and it was just my wife and daughter and I was with them, and that we were a family. She said, "I DON'T CARE, THAT'S OUR POLICY. ONLY TWO PEOPLE AT A TIME USING THE BATHROOM." I told her I wasn't using the bathroom; I'd been out in 90 degree weather for several hours and wanted a drink of water. I could see the water fountain in front of me on the other side of the door was located about 15 feet from another door down a hallway that led to the bathroom. I'm a 52-year old man; I don't look threatening and I'm not a security risk. We didn't have any packages, so theft was not a consideration. We didn't look like hoodlums. There were very few people in the store. But to hear Jessica and then the other pharmacy employees yelling at me in public, chastising me for trying to drink water while my wife and our 7-year old daughter were using the bathroom, was humiliating. The store manager had to get involved before the pharmacy employees apologized. Such blind allegiance to "following orders" and not exercising any common sense judgment or discretion is reprehensible. We left the store and went to a Walgreen's down the street. I might dump my CVS card, and I'm tempted to seek legal counsel for the humiliation I suffered.

choking to death
I am, excuse the language, fucking OUTRAGED that a manager goddamn killed a shoplifter (crayons and toothpaste I might add) by choking him to death!!! The shoplifter was quoted to have said "I cant breath!!" and the Manager continued to kill him. The police are not pressing charges?!?!?!?!?! He should be brought up on murder charges as the coroner had mentioned it was HOMICIDE!! WHAT SORT OF COMPANY ARE YOU RUNNING THAT SOMEONE CAN MURDER SOMEONE ELSE IN YOUR STORE?!?!? DO YOU SANCTION THIS TYPE OF ACTION??? If I were you I would be standing up against both the police and the manager in court. I am now BOYCOTTING CVS, and will continue to do so as well as spread the word of the lackadaisical response of the cvs corporation. You should be ashamed.
