Angry Customer
I want you to know that I will never buy "ANYTHING" from the Dairy Queen in Georgetown again! In the last month my orders have been wrong 2 times. That may not seem bad to you, but I ordered through the drive-thru and drove home and found I didn't have what I ordered. This morning 5/23/08 I went inside to order and had an embaressing and upsetful expeirence over the price of the bill. The manager's name is Michelle and the counter person was Bobby Jo. They know that I am contacting you because I told them. Their attitudes were unforgiveable, I was talked to rudely and yelled at by both of them. I told Michelle the manager that I would not be back, and that they have lost my buisness. She said ok and that that was allright with her. I have been a steady customer for as long as they have been opened, and be assured that I don't take the way I was treated lightly. In this day we're living in you can't afford to loose anyone's business. I hate incompetentcy and rude uncaring people that work at this store. Donald Baldwin p.s. I would not have people working for me like Michelle and Bobby Jo

Poor hygiene
The Dairy Queen at north hill mall in calgary. The owner and the employees at this DQ never were gloves when preparing food.

Poor product
I went to Dairy Queen for 3 blizzards for my parents and I on Friday April 18th around 8pm. I was not at all pleased with the product I received. They messed up my order and didn't even read it back to me so I could correct it. I worked at that Dairy Queen, three years ago and I know you are supposed to say the order back to the customer. I get the Blizzards I wanted, although one of them still wasn't right, and they are runny. Again, knowing from working at the DQ, you are supposed to be able to turn the Blizzard upside down and it stays there. This is not the fault of temperature (as it was only 40 some degrees and ice cream simply does not melt that fast), this is the fault of the maker, for spinning the ice cream too long. Also, I got to the bottom of my Blizzard and it wasn't even mixed at the bottom. It was still white with no chunks. Yeah, maybe I'm just being difficult, but if I am going to be paying $5 for ice cream, I want it to be well made.

Hard plastic in cake!
I purchased a ice cream cake for my nephew's Birthday. First I could not even get someone to take my order over the phone so I asked if they could save one for me from the cooler, if they had one. Presents, games, Grandma's, my four year old nephew his little friends, make a wish and blow out the candles. Cut the cake and find hard pieces of plastic in the cake as we ate it.One of the children was choking on a piece, we thought we got it all but guess what appeared in the diaper. These pieces were very sharp. I sent a piece of plastic , pictures, receipt, and copies of other pieces to the insurance company. They were upset and wanted to know how I knew where they were located. I just looked them up the on PC. They now have told me after investigation that the plastic did not come from the cake or frosting. I am not a lair. This was in the cake I bought. This could of been a real bad thing. They don't seem to care. But I know what I know. Hard pointed plastic pieces. Found in Orchards DQ in Vancouver WA. I did not wash the plastic, so they should of been able to know it had DQ ice cream on it. They are calling me a lair. And I am not. Our family has always loved and enjoyed the cake's for years. But this makes me afraid to have another bite.

Poor service!
At about 3:00 p.m. on 2/10/08, My wife and I ordered two hamburgers, fries and two drinks at the only Dairy Queen in Crosbyton, Texas. We waited for about forty minutes and began to notice that customers who had come in much later than we were getting their orders. They ordered hamburgers, like we did. Finally, I went to see what the hold-up was, and apparently the cook overlooked our order, even though the manager said that it showed up on her screen.

We had paid cash and the woman who took our order did not give us a receipt. However, when told the amount, they saw that our order had been turned in before all other customers who were now almost finished eating. The cook told me, "I'll fix it now," showing that she had missed the order. We were both too upset to eat, and moreover we needed to get on the road. With some reluctance, they canceled the order and refunded the $9.49.

This is not an isolated case. In recent years the quality of the service of Dairy Queen, and the quality of their employees, have declined greatly. In small towns, especially, like Crosbyton, TX, employees are frequently rude, and in recent years are becoming more rude and incompetent. We will never eat in another Dairy Queen.

Poor service!
I visited DQ on the evening of 12/23/07. I was in a hurry and went through the drive-thru. After ordering I hurried home to watch a football game. Upon arriving home I noticed I had received a single pattie classic instead of the double patty classic I had ordered. I immediately drove back to the DQ, went inside and explained the situation. At this time there was no other customers inside and only 1 vehicle in the drive-thru. When the girl told the other lady in the back what happened the lady in the back seemed upset about it. I also asked for fresh fries since the others would be cold, but was told they would have to drop more fries and it would take a few minutes. Again I explained I was in a hurry that if the first order of fries were still in the box that I would go ahead and take them. At this point I heard the lady in the back say "we can't do that". At this point a party of about six people entered. Their orders was taken and the lady in the rear started working on their orders completely ignoring mine. I waited and waited for about 10 minutes or so, in the meantime the other six customers received their orders and were seated eating. I could clearly see my sandwich sitting on a table, behind the lady in the rear, it had the dressings on it but still lacked the beef. At this time one of the girls working the front asked what I was waiting for, when I explained I was waiting for a sandwich, she asked if it was a special order, I told her no, explained, saying again that I was in a hurry. Thats when the lady in the rear starting working on my sandwich again, but at this time I was really frustrated with the waiting and being ignored that I told the women working there that I didn't care about the sandwich anymore and for them to just keep it, at this point I walked out of the store, got in my car and drove to McDonalds right across the street and ordered two Big Macs which I received in about 2 minutes. I understand that I'm only one person but If this is what is to be expected out of Dairy Queen then maybe I should reconsider on where to spend my money in the fast food industry. Thank you for you time. Jesse.

Did the wrong order
Last week, I went to The Mall Tha-Pra and ordered some Ice-cream at Diary Queen. I ordered Mocca ice-cream. The female staff did the wrong order. She gave me Chocolate-Chips. Then I said to her " What did you do for me?" I ordered Mocca. I never and ever order Chocolate-Chips. Then, that rough staff said with angry, "I made Chocolate-Chips as you ordered." She began to argue with me. Although she made the new Ice -cream for me, I felt she was unpleasant. I thought she didn't have a service mind.

My purchase, not satisfactory at all!
I had gone to Dairy Queen in July 2007, in Pembroke Ontario... this past summer, ordered a ice cream cake, as I had done the past year, and specifically told them the way I wanted it, I made sure twice that she understood that it was my son's 8th birthday and he wanted the movie cars Theme, so that is what I asked for, I mentioned that we want strawberry cheese cake with Happy Birthday to Joshua on it with a picture of (LIGHTNING McQUEEN). She said she knew exactly what I wanted, so I agreed to pick it up the following week.

When I picked it up, I didn't think to look at it because like I had said, I was in the year before and got a spiderman theme cake and it was great"

When I got home, I put it in the freezer right away. The following day was the birthday party, we did all activities first then ate, I then took out the cake and I was so angry, it said... "HAPPY BIRTHDAY... that is it, no name and no lightning mcqueen. My son was so upset, I called right away to the Dairy Queen that made it, explained it to them, and I was told to come in on Monday. Keeping in mind that I live 25 minutes from Pembroke in the country, when I got there no one knew that I was coming, they told me that the manager would call me in a couple of days, NO PHONE CALL... so I went in again and explained it all over again, and they said that the manager must have forgot to call me, well at this point, I am so furious, its costly in gas to travel back and forth, so I ended up calling the next day, the manager was busy and said that she would return my call later that day... Well, its now September /07, and still no phone call, I am very disappointed that Dairy Queen has become a very unreliable establishment, I will be contacting Browns Beat in Ottawa for them to publish something in the citizen newspaper about this, they could have at least refunded my money, how hard would have that been, my son's birthday was ruined for him, he was upset that his cake wasn't what he wanted, I will never get over this, unless they can call me and offer a cake for Joshua to make up for it, other than that, I am very dis-appointed with their company...

Give us a fricken break!
I really need to get this off my chest.

I am so sick of customers complaining! Mistakes happen. Shit happens, and sometimes we can't do anything about it. DEAL WITH IT PEOPLE! Do you think we wake up every morning thinking "I will deliberately make sure that I make a customer's day a living hell and mess up their order on purpose?" OF COURSE NOT!

I've been working at DQ for a while now, and it pisses me off when someone complains that we didn't put ANYTHING in their blizzard, or that the SHAPE of the ice cream does not look right. You're only going to ruin the shape anyway with your fricken mouth! I find it annoying when people ask how much calories, fat, cholestrol, etc is in our ice cream, and then get mad at us for telling them the truth. You should all know that when you go out to ANY fast food restaurant, there is bound to be tons of calories, sodium, etc in their food!

I just hate the people that complains about the littlest things. Reading this site, I read a complaint about one SINGLE broken highchair at McDonalds, and they are demanding free food. OVER A EFFING HIGH CHAIR????? Did they even bother to tell the people working there that it was broken? Maybe it had broken that very day, and the employees JUST DIDN'T KNOW YET! Did they consider that?? Probably not.

Let me be clear here though. I have had bad customer service before, but I do not make it a goal to tell of the employers and make them give me something free. You think I'm a wimp? Think again. Maybe I actually considered what it was like in their shoes? Have any of you who have had bad service even considered being in the other's shoes?

Not to say that every customer that complains is stupid, but once you get to experience working customer service, you'll understand what goes on behind the scenes.
