Crystal started calling us last November (2008) telling us we owe Cross Country Bank for a credit card bill. I sent her a letter we recieved saying they would take a lesser, settlement offer in October of 2007. And we sent them the $877. 00 the wanted. She refuses to accept that letter and insists that was for another credit card and not this one. Although, we haven't had credit cards in years (like 15-20 years) and never had a limit over $750. Now she said the bill is $3600. She calls us constantly, threatening to sue us, wants us to borrow the money, sell what little we have to pay the debt, says she is going to send a sheriff to our home with the legal papers. I am not sure what to do next.
