I've known several dogs bred by Deadwood Kennels in central PA. When I say "known, " I mean I've had long-term opportunity to observe their behavior over the course of their lives. They have many good points, including affection for people. But they do not co-exist well with other dogs despite the best environment and training. Every one of the ones I've known has exhibited sudden and severe dog-on-dog aggression, with devastating results in terms of vet bills, dog suffering, and human misery. The breeder's commitment to line breeding (a/k/a inbreeding) may be part of the problem. Be aware of what you are getting: high quality in some areas of the breed but not in dog-friendly temperament.
