I've shop at many department stores, and I occasionally run into bad customer service from sales associates. I usually let things go because (s)he may have had an off day or something. However, on my recent experience at Dillards, I was horribly disrespected, and this I cannot let things be. I was browsing around the store when I saw an absolute gorgeous pair of sunglasses. When I asked to see them, the sales person snapped at me and said, "I'm with a customer right now, so you need to wait your turn." The customer she referred to was trying on different sunglasses and minding her own business. This lady gave me the biggest attitude in the world. Then she acted as if it was such a hassle to reach into the compartment to pull out the glasses. I told her don't worry about it and stormed off. I can't believe she was so vile. I don't want to assume she's racist, but I can't think of any reason why she treated me the way she did. The most frustrating part of this experience is that Dillards do not care how their customers are treated. With the economy in such a bad shape right now, you would think stores would try their best to keep whatever little consumers they still have.
