I originally obtained my satellite internet service under DirecWay. It is now HighesNet (who bought DirecWay after DirecTV decided they wanted out of the satellite internet business.) During the past three years I have had numerous problems related to the quality of internet access. If you're considering this service, note these limitations:

It's fair to good for image and video downloads

It is OK for generic browsing

It is horrible for any secure site transaction! Banking, e-mail, account management--anything using a secure connection--loads (if at all) horribly slow. In fact, I ended up getting a dial-up account for accessing all of the above and my work database. Dial-up, for this purpose, runs at 10-20 times the speed!

My advice: stay away from HugheNets unless all you want to do is image-dive. It's horrible!
