Field Supervisor diagnosed a clog and "marginal cast iron pipes after 2 attempts at high-pressure jetting and inspection with camera. With toilet paper and raw sewage backing up into my house he recommended a new sewer line via the trenchless system. As it turned out the clog was the responsibility of the county since it was in their line, not mine, he installed a product which, although perfectly fine, was not code approved for this location, used an improper pull box in two locations, and now the county will not service their portion of the line until they get to inspect the work done. That will be costly and ultimately require additional expenditure on my part. I'll have to live with it but the entire process could've been handled by the county public works dept free of charge instead of the close to $3000 cost. The ultimate irony: after running the camera one final time they said there were two additional clogs on the county line and that for close to $700 more they could them with a special piece of equipment. The county public works man that red tagged me took pity on me and cleared the line in 5 minutes without special equipment or even much effort. Bottom line, got ripped off and can't do a thing about it.
