Distinct Design, Inc. was paid a deposit of $4625 to build a screen enclosure and cement slab within four weeks per our written agreement. Within a four week period they gave us nothing. We were forced to hire another contractor to meet our time restrictions to get the job done. The company has returned $2100 citing they have done nothing wrong and charged us for commissions, attorney fees, etc. We contacted the company many times in the four week period asking when they would begin work. They were unresponsive and best they could do was to offer to request permit AFTER our four week agreement period. Do not use this company unless you have lots of time on your hands and enjoy working with people who make broken promises.
