Beware this rental agency is out to scam you. When we arrived at the lakehouse we rented for the weekend, the place was in poor condition: stained and wet floors, smelly bathrooms, and a broken fireplace. Basics, such as dish soap, hand soap, toilet paper, and paper towels were not provided. However, we continued our stay since we were only there for two days.

We followed every direction left for us, including hauling the trash to the facilities that were two miles away. Later, I recieved an e-mail accusing me of causing damage to the house. This is the damage that I caused: failure to clean an ashtray that was left on the deck, tracking some dirt into the house, breaking the key to the fireplace (which I never recieved), and damaging the kitchen floor (which looked fine when we left).

I've rented from other vaction rental companies and have never been treated like this. This company is looking to charge you for whatever they can get away with. I paid a non-refundable damage waiver, but apparently this does not cover vacuuming and dumping out an ashtray, because they charged me extra for "excessive cleaning."
