Well, it happened to me, too...and I have never experienced anything like this. With the chaos of the holidays, I had not really had a chance to look at my VISA statements closely. Today, I found charges that I did not make for December 17, 2007 ($4.95); January 2, 2008 ($39.95), January 28, 2008 ($39.95), and February 26, 2008 ($39.95) from a company called Sure Touch LD (Long Distance).

I contacted their customer service department to inquire what these charges were about. I had not requested this service, and the number they had listed as the requesting service number was my work phone number. On some of these dates, I was not even in my office.

I asked them to immediately remove the charges and I obtained a cancellation number. I also contacted my bank. My next step is to notify the Better Business Bureau.

I am trying to alert as many people as I can about this issue.
