All healthcare professionals and staffs from India, Beware... Its very easy to get a job in Guyana at Dr. Balwant sing's Hospital Inc. located in Georgetown. I am just one person who escaped from their trap an exploitation. I am a healthcare professional who was offered a post in the hospital a year ago. I was really excited and thrilled to be in South America with least or almost no interview and screening procedures. I was offered with a good salary package and was promised of furnished accomodation. But all my expectations and belief was shattered once I arrieved at the Hospital door. Its just a jail like atmosphere for Indians. There are atleast 30 to 35 Indians including doctors who got trapped. For doctors its much more better but for others its more than "Hell". I haven got a one day full off in my 1 year experience. I had to work almost 7 days a week, no holidays or any thing. Nursing staffs suffer more. They are nor more than cleaners. For salary I had to wait for months to get paid and they pays in parts. They takes security deposit from salary which they wont return by giving silly reasons. In Guyana itself no one prefers to work for Dr. Balwant Singh's Hospital. Thats why they prefer to take staffs from India and also they cant exploit Guyanese as they are protected by their law. But for Indians ever the Indian High Commission wont help us as they gets the benefits from the hospital. So friends, brothers and sisters... You will get a job from great, ugly Dr. Balwant Singh's Hospital very easily, and if you want to experience the hell, go ahead with the offer.
