I went to a San Francisco gastroenterologist named Dr. Elsen for a colonoscopy. During the procedure he squeezed and rubbed my genitals, which is not part of the procedure. His office told me my insurance covered the entire cost, yet I was sent a bill for more than $150, which I refused to pay. He sent the bill out for collection. I wrote the agency to complain about his inappropriate behavior and the fact that I didn't owe anything, but I ended up with a bad mark on my credit report.

I should have filed a complaint with the state medical board.
