Shifu Chen moved here to Champaign with his family back in April of 2012. He began this school in September of 2012. With the help of his wife, Abigail, Shifu taught afterschool classes in Unit 4 schools that started with 4 students and also began a main location with 3 students consisting of his two children and a next door neighbor’s son.

DCA has had to move 4x in the past 4 years due to its continuous growth. The Champaign/Urbana community has truly embraced us and our message. Our drive for excellence through perseverance, and the cultivation of our character building program has been our building blocks.

Our DCA family is made up of incredible families who desire great things for their kids and for the surrounding Champaign/Urbana communities. All of this is only possible by their continued participation in our incredible student body. Come be a part of the movement and find your inner Dragon!
