I searched for "free online poll" in Google and this site came up first:

You have to register with an email address to access the free poll software, which isn't unusual. They never asked for money. They state on the site:

It's true the site had no advertising whatsoever. I thought, "Either these guys are dumb or there's something funny going on here."

It was the latter.

When you create your poll, which generates HTML code to upload to your web site, they include a link to a casino site. They threaten that if you change the code at all then your poll will not work.
