Ebuyer charged me for next day delivery. Didn't deliver next day. And gave me sneaky excuses into the bargain...

When my goods didn't arrive next day I phoned Ebuyer and was told: “Payment hasn't been made so it's gone to scheduled payment.”

I asked, “What on Earth do you mean payment hasn't been made? The payment went through fine yesterday on your website! What is scheduled payment?” But the woman at Ebuyer was very unhelpful and evasive.

So I phoned my bank and told them what I'd been told. The man at the bank said he'd never heard of it; either payment is approved or declined and that's all there is to it.

So, Ebuyer, let me translate that for you. When you say, “Gone to scheduled payment...”, you actually mean, “We cocked up, couldn't deliver as promised, but will spout some old guff about payment not being made being the reason we've missed our delivery promise.” In the UK, companies are not allowed to charge cards until goods are shipped, so that's what actually happened. Ebuyer couldn't deliver as promised, but instead of admitting that, they pretended there was a problem with my card.

Now I don't mind things going wrong. I make mistakes. We all make mistakes. If someone at Ebuyer had said, “Sorry but we couldn't complete your order for next day delivery”, then I wouldn't have minded. Even better, if they'd offered to refund the extra cost for next day delivery then I would have been happy, ready to do business with them again.

But what I really hate is being told bull**** to try and cover up what's gone wrong. I absolutely HATE liars, Ebuyer, and won't buy from you again.
