Edible Arrangements Reviews

Wow, incredible bad customer service
I saw the ad for Edible Arrangements so thought I would try them out. I went to the web site, selected a product and hit "purchase". The site flashed and no order number or acknowledgement followed. I hit purchase again (against my better judgement) and got the same result. Here is where it gets good

I called the number and explained my issue. Without an order number they couldn't help me. I told the the site flashed but spit out no order number. She told me to call back in 30 minutes when the "system updated". I called back, waited on hold for 30 minutes, hung up and called back and finally got someone. She asked for my order number. I explained the whole thing all over again and she asked me what store the order went to. I reiterated that the site flashed me so I HAD NO IDEA if the order went through, or what store it went to.

She proceeded to read me the stores it "probably" went to and told me I should call them. Wow what customer service.

In the end I have no idea if the order went through but I will be refusing if they do. Customer Service was a joke, this company seems like it is run from someone's kitchen and they let their grandson build them a website.

Stay away.

Horrible Service
AE in Columbia, Maryland NEVER delivered arrangement and did NOT tell me delivery was NOT made. Had delivery set for 9/11 EA called and said they couldn't do - that was fine w/me go ahead and deliver 9/12. On TUESDAY when I found out never delivered, they said they tried Sat 9/12 and Sun 9/13 and left door announcements. Recipient said they DID NOT - was home all day, no delivery attempt. No attempt and no notice. I assumed delivery was made...no communication 9/14 or 9/15. Website says "Successful Delivery" IT WAS A LIE. NEVER DELIVERED. CALLED AGAIN to make sure I am not charged (not cheap btw). This company in Columbia Maryland SUCKS. They don't even care when called out. Never appologized. HORRIBLE SERVICE HORRIBLE COMPANY. WILL NEVER ATTEMPT TO USE AGAIN.

Ruined Anniversary Surprise
I placed an order last week for our 9th anniversary. I told the lady on the phone that it was a surprise gift and I wanted it delivered to my wife's place of employment. She told me no problem but that she couldn't give me an exact time that it would be delivered but if I called on the day of delivery that I could get a closer time frame. So, I made the call and they told me it would be delivered between 11:00 and 1:00. At 1 I called my wife to see if anything had been delivered to her. While we were talking she got a call from the delivery driver saying that he may be able to make it by 4:00. There went the surprise because he can't figure out that big balloon with the arrangement means surprise.
I call the store and instead of putting the manager on the phone, they go get the driver who has more excuses than Carter has liver pills. He couldn't understand how he ruined the surprise by calling my wife and telling her he is the Edible Arrangements delivery guy. His exact comment was "She knows that she is getting something from Edible Arrangements but she doesn't know what it looks like." I almost dropped the phone!!! As I stated to him, It's not like Edible Arrangements delivers jewlery or a car. He still couldn't figure it out.
This was the first and only time that I will use their service for anything.

Horrible customer service
I thought i'd send a dear friend a mothers day gift and decided edible arrangements sounded good. i tried some chocolate covered bannanas and was impressed. however the branch i purchased my order from was friendly and told me they could have some delivered to an address in arizona. so i got a call l8ter that day informed that avandale dysert store did not deliver the arrangement and that i should call the other store to talk to them about they're mistake. i'll admit it was the cheapest thing i could find but i wasn't expecting them to be so expensive in the first place, to be charged a $12 delivery fee on 6 chocolate covered bannas that was $15 dollar box was ludacris, the fee for delivery fee was plenty of money almost more then the box. i could get sees candy to deliver a nice box of chocolates well over a dozen for less then $25. neway i called her with the intention of buying a slightly bigger arrangment for a reasonable price, but the manager was very arrogant defensive and condecendingly went into how I ordered something they do not deliver (well duh)and i have to arrange something else with the other store. she didn't have to tell me that with that snoby tone so i hung up on her seeing as how i could deal with the genessee rather then her poor customer service skills. she then had the oddacity to call me back and say i was just calling to find out if you meant to hang up on me cause i was just telling you what you and thier store did nothing wrong in so many patronizing words or less. so i hung up again to avoid calling this woman derogatory names as she was beggining to harrass me now clearly instigating a fight. She then called back again and left a message informing me that she is going to block any arrangements as best as she can from the company and her store will never deliver to that address i provided ever. HOW OBSURED! what if someone else wants to send them a gift besides me! this woman is clearly vindictive rude and worthy of the name calling that came to mind. the Genesse store in san diego will get back to me tomorrow about refund or getting another store to deliver to my dear friends at another address instead. that manager thinks she so smart trying to "block" gifts sent to that address however she isn't the god she thinks she is my friend does does work at another address. this is a conflicting issue with me as i have half a mind to boycott this company completely if it weren't for the great service i recieved at the genesse location in sd cal. i know it's just some locations, however it can be frustrating enough to forget the whole thing.

Poor customer service
Yes Indeed, cute and healthy arrangements that I have only been able to apreciate in pictures, because in two different ocassions I tried to give bussines to this particular franchise, but in both ocasions they let me down big time. The first time was on Valentine's of 2007, I ordered an arrangement, (two days in advance) to be delivered to my wife at her work on Valentine's day, , well with that much time in advance and they assuring me that "yes "they would deliver on that day, because they won't commit to a time of the day, because it is in their policy that they hide behind so much to cover for just about any mistake from their part ("Like the stories that I have read in these blogs about other's people bad experiencies with them, well some of them sound so much like mine's and in some instances they even have the nerve to sell you a product that your love ones have to be confined to their homes or work places for a couple of days, and hopefully they will deliver then, just to satisfy their own greedy convinience, well to make long story short, they did not deliver, the which drove me to go on a mad Roses hunt on late Valentine's day, when just about all the flowers have been wiped out, and the only ones left over are not the greatest and so expensive.- My second bad experience just a few days ago, while serving in Iraq and in a week or so, I'm gonna go home on two weeks of R&R, wanting to surprise my wife and my daughter, I ordered them one arrangement each over the internet, both orders go thru, almost two hundred dolars, I get confirmation emails and receipts, everything seems good to go, well these people call my wife because thats the only telefone number I can give as a refenrence, because I dont have a phone in Iraq, but yes they do have my email, and tell her everything about the what is supposed to be a surprise, and tell her that the information I sent them over the internet got lost and that they need the debit card number again in order to be able to process the order, " Well first of all, what kind of bussienes can survive nowdays specially with the way the economy is going with a less than efficient internet service and turn down orders of two hundred dollars a pop, imagine if they do that to just 5 customers a day, thats 1, 000 dollars a day that they loose, but thats not all they loose, because like a told them the first time they let me down, I'm a member of the military in my community and I know a lot of people that reside in the same area where they want to do bussines at, and I will make sure thay they know about the customer service that these people give, and if a decided to give them a second oportunity is because I google the second closest store from my house, the which is in Riverside, same county where I live, but being that it was an internet order, after I finalize my order, then they tell me that by the way my order is going to be delivered by edible arrangement from Moreno Valley, I did not like it at the begining but I said, what the heck it has been over year, maybe they've gotten their stuff together, but apperently not!!!, my wife did the right thing, she did not disclosed my card information to them, but she told them that they could email me, something that to this day they have not done yet, it is typical pattern that they work with, they forget quick, but the first time I reported them to BBB (Better Bussines Bureau), this time I just wanna share with you all.

Poor service - unauthorized charges
I do NOT reccomend this store. I have ordered twice from them and both times there was a problem. The management is unwilling to address any issues. My first order was missing items. Not a big deal as it was only a balloon at the cost of $3.50. I contacted the store throught the website. No one bothered to even respond. I guess they were really heart up for my extra three dollars. The second order involved an erroneous charge to my credit card for over $300. The emplyee said only the manager was authorized to credit the charge. Several calls to the store and the manager was never avaialble. Come to find out that she was out for an extended period of time with no projected date of return. I was told there was nothing anyone else could do about the charge. Additionally, the people I did get to speak to were rude.

poor service
I called today, on Christmas Eve to order and pick up two Edible Arrangement boquets. As I was talking to the man on the phone placing my order, for each of my choices he tried suggesting a completely different arrangement good for about 6 more people than i needed to feed and way out of my marginal price i would like to pay. after telling him again i wanted the A little Special Expression($27) with no chocolate, final he kept insisting the chocolate. I explained that it was for an 82 year old friend of mine who can't eat chocolate. On to my finalized 2nd order I said i wanted the Delicious Daisy Arrangement ($35) for my family to pick at during desert tonight and none the less he kept suggesting $50 and above boguets for my order. I was already spending more than $50 on those two so I asked him, "Are my orders not a good idea? It just seems you keep trying to talk me out of it". He said that he just thought he'd help. Wasn't a very pleasant experience and could've been a much shorter phone call since i knew exactly what i wanted to order and what i wanted to pay. I pick them up today at 12:00pm. We'll see the quality ...

Coupon scam
I used an on-line coupon for a $5 discount off of my order and it was applied to my order. I received a receipt via email with the discount showing. When I received my bank statement a few weeks later, the $5 discount was not applied and I was charged the higher amount.

I called the store and was told that the coupon was NOT valid in Colorado, however, the coupon itself did not indicate this nor did I receive an email or phone indicating that the coupon was not valid prior to the amount being charged to my card. The store refused to honor the discount at all even though they charged me $12 to deliver a $25 item three miles away.

It is hard to believe they can stay in business with such poor customer service and lack of empathy when dealing with questions and concerns from customers. Not too mention the outrageous delivery fee. I will not give Edible Arrangements anymore of my business and will do what I am able to sway everyone else I interact with to have flowers delivered instead.

Horrible customer service - they ruin surprises
These people are morons. I have never in my life had a delivery service call to tell me they are coming with a "surprise" for me...much less tell me I have to be available at THEIR convenience. My step-daughter in Hawaii was going to surprise me with a basket here in Florida for my birthday, and told them when she placed her order that no one would be home until after 4 p.m. It is at that point -- even via e-mail -- these irresponsible jerks should have told her they could not promise a delivery time. She would have then gone elsewhere and ordered something else.
What do they do insead? They call me and leave a msg on my home voicemail, which I just happened to check at lunch time. They tell me who they are and WHAT they are delivering to me, and that it's for my birthday (surprise!), AND who it is from. Then they tell me they can't deliver at 4 or after...oh, my, and this is fresh fruit...what to do..what to do.
What jerks. I will NEVER order anything from them, and I will NEVER recommend them to anyone.
They tried to blame the whole fiasco on my step-daughter. Great customer service. Edible Arguments might be eating their own words in this economy. They'll probably go belly up because people don't need to spend their hard earned cash on crappy service like this. The birthday gift became about hiding from my step-daughter what happened; otherwise she would have justifiably blown a gasket.
